Ashford Weaving Kit

This beautiful handwoven scarf is soft, luxurious, and easy to create with two pattern options to choose from.

Perfect for both beginner and experienced weavers, this kit is a wonderful way to create a stunning, unique scarf — and makes for an excellent handmade gift too!

What’s included in each kit?

• Warping and weaving instructions for an easy, stress-free process
• 1 x 100gm Ashford Merino/Viscose/Linen Chunky Yarn
• 1 x 100gm Ashford 100% New Zealand Wool 4 ply (Fingering) weight
• Finished scarf size: 30cm (12”) wide x 2m (79”) long, excluding fringes

Loom required – rigid heddle loom 40cm or wider with a 7.5dpi reed.

Both yarns in the Lattice Scarf kit can be dyed with Ashford Protein Dyes, allowing you to create your own stunning, unique colorways.

A slightly shorter version of the Lattice scarf was used to create a beautiful mobius wrap that can be styled in various ways. 

Warp length: 1.8m (71″)

Weave according to the Lattice Scarf pattern, using the full length of the warp.

To finish, once removed from the loom, lay the scarf flat and fold the ends inward to bring them together. Flip one end over to create a twist, then join by tying the warp threads with a secure weaver’s knot (square knot). Trim any excess ends as desired.
